Amidst global economic crisis, real estate investments in Bali are well worth the costs. Property value rates in Bali are growing at around 30% each year, and there’s no sign of this trend slowing down! Due to a low crime rate, beautiful landscape, friendly residences, and all around tropical sunshine, Bali is a very enticing place to live and invest in.
Bali is often referred to as the “dawn of the world”, and if you’ve ever been there, then you know why! If you haven’t, then you’ve been missing out on some of the most beautiful scenery on earth. Every year, countless people flock there to visit, and many never want to leave! This is why Bali is a hot spot for real estate ventures. Villas in quaint little villages, mountain homes, beach houses—Bali has it all!
So where should you invest? Well, what your preferences? North Bali, in places such as Lovina and Singarja, is an area known for quietness and relaxation. If you want to spend your time in Bali laying back and enjoying the simple things in life, then this area is for you. However, if you want to rent out to tourists, then you should probably choose a more “exciting” place to invest.
Ubud, for instance, is one of the most popular destinations for tourists. It’s a great place to invest in if you want a home in the center of it all. Often referred to as the “heart” of Bali’s culture, Ubud is filled with tourist attractions, galleries, museums, restaurants, and plenty of entertainment.
Places like Kuta, in the southern part of Bali, are known for having exciting nightlife activities. There are restaurants and boutique shops lining up the street to create one of the greatest shopping mecca’s in the world. Kuta is also known for its amazing sunsets. If you’re interested in investing in an area of Bali that is filled with never-ending excitement, then South Bali is where you need to go.
Bali is filled with very luxurious beaches. If you want to live in, or rent out, a beach home, then you’ll have many to choose from. Surfers from all around the world flock to Bali’s beaches daily to meet the waves.
Keep in mind that you need to watch out for Bali real estate scams. Indonesian law is a bit complex where foreign investors are concerned, so make sure you know the rules and laws before putting any money forward. Remember, any company that tells you that foreigners can hold official property titles individually isn’t telling the truth. Yes, you can invest in land and homes, but you may have to do so by having to partner up with an Indonesian citizen.
If, however, you plan on investing a whole lot of money, then you may want to consider trying to obtain a PMA by establishing a Foreign Investment Company in Bali. If you are able to convince the Indonesian government that you can contribute to Bali’s growth by establishing your own investment company, then they will allow you to build your own properties and will give you rights to everything.
